IEC Standards for Robotics and Automation Equipment EMC and Safety Testing
Robotics and automation equipment is subject to rigorous regulatory approval processes globally, often requiring testing by accredited laboratories. Compliance is governed by international standards such as
CISPR 11, IEC 61326 and IEC 61000-6 series and FCC Part 18 and ICES 001, which provide a harmonized framework for EMC requirements.
IEC 61000-6 Series
This series focuses on EMC requirements, ensuring that robotics and automation equipment can operate safely in the presence of electromagnetic disturbances and does not emit excessive interference specially in industrial environment.
CISPR 11
This refers to radiofrequency disturbance and characteristics and methods of measurement for industrial scientific and medical (ISM) equipment.

ICES 001
This sets minimum requirement applicable to ISM equipment and includes limits for and methods of measurement of radiated and conducted RF emissions by such devices.
