SPACE FOR YOUR PRODUCT

A Spacious, Automated EMC Chamber

Our modern, dome-shaped SAC PLUS semi-anechoic chamber accommodates mid-size vehicles and bulky equipment. A wide entrance and automated positioning systems support practical preparation and repeatable measurement sequences.

Usable chamber dimensions8.5 × 5 × 6 m
Access door2 × 2 m
Maximum EUT mass2,000 kg
Measurement automationELEKTRA + dedicated controls

A fully automated antenna tower and turntable, operated through Rohde & Schwarz ELEKTRA software and dedicated control systems, provide controlled antenna and EUT positioning. Our engineers confirm access, fixtures and operating arrangements for each product.

Automotive Ventilation & Exhaust Handling

The chamber is equipped with exhaust extraction and ventilation systems, supporting automotive test configurations that require ventilation and exhaust handling.

A Controlled Environment for Precise Measurements

The chamber combines a low measurement noise floor with site-performance verification using normalized site attenuation (NSA), field uniformity (FU) and site voltage standing wave ratio (sVSWR), as applicable. These characteristics support sensitive emissions measurements and controlled immunity exposure across the relevant low- and high-frequency test bands.

An RFI trap cable feedthrough allows customer cables to pass through the chamber wall while maintaining the shielding integrity needed for accurate measurements. Built-in 120 dB-rated filters help suppress externally conducted interference. Additional filtering can be incorporated into the agreed test setup on request to further isolate external conducted noise from the chamber environment. Filter attenuation and measurement-site performance depend on frequency and configuration.

PRECISION INSTRUMENTATION

Equipment for EMC, RF and Automotive Testing

Our laboratory uses instrumentation from leading manufacturers and specialist suppliers, including Rohde & Schwarz.

EMI & Radio Measurements

Rohde & Schwarz ESW EMI receiver with coverage to 44 GHz, RF signal generators, a CMW500 radio communication tester, power meters and specialist high-frequency mixers.

RF Immunity & Antennas

High-power RF amplifiers covering applicable bands up to 6 GHz, plus bilog, biconical and horn antennas for emissions and immunity measurements.

Conducted EMC & Power Quality

Line impedance stabilization networks (LISNs), conducted emissions instrumentation, and harmonic-current and voltage-fluctuation/flicker testing systems.

Automotive & Transient Testing

Automotive transient and surge generators support electrical disturbance testing alongside emissions and immunity measurements.

Specialist measurement arrangements extend RF capability to 325 GHz. Applicable configurations support EUT current up to 200 A, three-phase, and radiated immunity fields up to 200 V/m. These are maximum capabilities; the available levels, frequency ranges and accredited methods are confirmed for the selected test setup.

AUTOMATION THAT ACCELERATES DEVELOPMENT

Fast Emissions Measurements & Troubleshooting

Stancer combines fully automated antenna and turntable positioning with state-of-the-art Rohde & Schwarz instrumentation. Our measurement systems support radiated and conducted emissions testing using Peak and Quasi-Peak detection, combining efficient measurement sequences with controlled, repeatable test configurations.

For suitable conducted-emissions configurations, a Peak scan and final Quasi-Peak measurement sequence can typically be completed in under two minutes. This rapid measurement cycle allows engineers to investigate emission peaks, make design changes and retest almost immediately—making laboratory time particularly productive during troubleshooting and pre-compliance development. Duration depends on the operating modes, measurement settings and applicable standard; additional configurations or required detector measurements extend the overall test program.
