Define the qualification requirements

  • Provide the product, model, variants, application and whether testing concerns a whole vehicle or a component/ESA.
  • Supply the DVP&R, customer or OEM specification and exact revision, plus the required standards and target markets.
  • Identify the requested CISPR 12/25, ISO 11451/11452, ISO 7637, ISO 16750-2 or ECE Regulation 10 activities as applicable.
  • List additional requirements such as ISO 10605 ESD separately; confirm availability and accreditation coverage before booking.

Define functions and acceptance criteria

  • List required operating modes, load states, transmission modes and the functions to exercise during testing.
  • Provide the customer-approved performance criteria, limits and allowed recovery or reset behaviour.
  • Define monitoring for control, communication, measurements, outputs and fault indications as applicable.
  • Provide functional scripts and CAN/LIN tools, interfaces, loads or simulators needed for the agreed setup.

Prepare the component and harness

  • Identify hardware, software and firmware versions; provide production-representative samples and agreed spares.
  • Provide pinouts, harness drawings, cable lengths, shielding, connectors and intended grounding arrangements.
  • Identify artificial networks/LISNs, fixtures, loads and auxiliary equipment required by the test specification; agree who supplies them.
  • Document antenna arrangements and simultaneous radio modes; include existing module approval information where applicable.

Confirm electrical and high-voltage arrangements

  • Specify nominal and maximum supply voltage, current, power, operating states and relevant transient test parameters.
  • Identify power sources, protective devices, interlocks, emergency shutdown and safe handling procedures.
  • For ISO 7637-4 requests, describe the shielded high-voltage supply lines, harness, loads and coupling arrangement.
  • For electrical load tests, specify the selected ISO 16750-2 requirements and operating/monitoring conditions.

Confirm vehicle access and logistics

  • Provide overall dimensions, mass, handling requirements and photos, including the largest access dimension.
  • Check the proposed setup against the chamber’s 8.5 × 5 × 6 m usable dimensions, 2 × 2 m door and 2,000 kg maximum EUT mass.
  • Discuss ventilation, exhaust handling, fixtures, clearances and the intended vehicle operating arrangement before booking.
  • Confirm sample quantities, technical contacts, shipping, schedule and report/documentation requirements.

Before You Book

Stancer’s scope includes CISPR 25 clauses 6.3/6.4/6.5; ISO 11452-2/-4; ISO 11451-2; ISO 7637-2/-3/-4; ISO 16750-2; ECE Regulation 10; and CISPR 12. ISO 7637-4 coverage is for transient conduction along shielded high-voltage supply lines only.

The laboratory confirms the final setup, applicable editions, levels and accredited activities for the project. This is a preparation aid, not an OEM approval or a complete qualification matrix.
